A-League 2019/20- Round 23 My Preview
The A-League has been extremely exciting to watch as there have been plenty of goals and talking points. Hopefully the Central Coast Mariners improve as it’s difficult to watch any of the teams in the A-League be uncompetitive. Sydney FC may be on top of the A-League ladder, but they have lost twice to their rivals, which is what you want from the perspective of a neutral perspective.
My Choice of a definite winner for this Round: Brisbane Roar
Team with Round 23 Bye: Western United
Friday Night Game
Brisbane Roar v Central Coast Mariners
This is any easy game to predict as the Central Coast Mariners struggled in Round 22, while the Brisbane Roar were outstanding. The Brisbane Roar won’t take this game lightly as they need to win this to get closer to ensuring they finish in the top 6 and feature in the finals.
Brisbane Roar Game Changer: Aiden O’Neill
Central Coast Mariners Game Changer: Matt Simon
My Prediction: Brisbane Roar
Saturday Evening Game
Sydney FC v Perth Glory
This game is a difficult game to predict a result in, as Sydney FC put in a good performance in Round 22, while Perth Glory nearly got a point, despite trailing 3-nil at half time.
Sydney FC Game Changer: Rhyan Grant
Perth Glory Game Changer: Alex Grant
My Prediction: Sydney FC
Saturday Night Game
Melbourne City v Western Sydney Wanderers
Melbourne City have all but assured that they will finish in the top 6 and will almost certainly play in this Seasons final series.
Melbourne City Game Changer: Craig Noone
Western Sydney Wanderers FC Game Changer: Matthew Jurman
My Prediction: Melbourne City
Sunday Night Games
Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne Victory
This is a must win game for the Melbourne Victory if they want to maintain any hope of finishing in the top 6, but it’s unlikely that will happen.
Wellington Phoenix Game Changer: Alex Rufer
Melbourne Victory Game Changer: Migjen Basha
My Prediction: Wellington Phoenix
Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets
To maintain any chance of finishing in the top 6 the Newcastle Jets need to claim all 3 points in this game and they should!
Adelaide United Game Changer: Ryan Strain
Newcastle Jets Game Changer: Roy O’Donovan
My Prediction: Newcastle Jets
