Conor Gallagher scored his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur, with a shot from distance to break the deadlock in a crucial 2-1 away win for them over Aston Villa.
Everton substitute Thierno Barry scored a brace in a 3-3 draw against Manchester City.
Manchester City winger Jérémy Doku scored a brace; his second goal was in the 97th minute helped City salvage a point.
Chelsea attacking midfielder/winger Cole Palmer had a penalty saved by Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels in first half stoppage time.
