A-League Men What’s your team’s story: Round 10 (Season 2022/23)

Adelaide United: One way traffic

Adelaide United won a game against Perth Glory 2-nil, but the margin should’ve been more.

Brisbane Roar: Poor substitutions

Brisbane Roar were playing well in the first half and deserved their 1-nil lead. In the second half all four attacking players that started were substituted off. In the end a 1-all draw with Western United was due to the changes that Brisbane Roar coach, Warren Moon made.

Central Coast Mariners: They’re a good team to watch

Central Coast Mariners play attacking football under their coach, Nick Montgomery. They score plenty of goals and create a lot of chances; they were rewarded by defeating Melbourne Victory 2-1.

Macarthur FC: Obliterated

Macarthur FC weren’t up to standard in a 4-nil loss to Western Sydney Wanderers.

Melbourne City: They were lucky

Melbourne City took their chances and their goalkeeper, Tom Glover had an exceptional game. The 3-1 score line didn’t reflect their performance, which was solid, but not to their optimum level, as Wellington Phoenix played well.

Melbourne Victory: They are on a downward slope

Melbourne Victory played poorly and deservedly lost to Central Coast Mariners 2-1.

Newcastle Jets: They couldn’t score

Newcastle Jets were outplayed by Sydney FC and could have lost by more than two goals.

Perth Glory: Rock bottom

Perth Glory offered no resistance against Adelaide United and lost the game 2-nil.

Sydney FC: They turned things around

Sydney FC played exceptionally well without their best player, Joe Lolley, who was suspended. Max Burgess did a good job as his replacement and they were solid defensively and were comfortable in their 2-nil win over the Newcastle Jets.

Wellington Phoenix: They put in a good shift

Wellington Phoenix played well enough to win three games, but they lost to Melbourne City 3-1; that’s football.

Western Sydney Wanderers: If they play like that then they can beat anyone

Western Sydney Wanderers were clinical and performed extremely well; they didn’t have any flaws in their 4-nil win over Macarthur FC.

Western United: They worked hard in the second half and were rewarded with a point

Western United were outplayed by the Brisbane Roar in the first half and deservedly trailed 1-nil at half time. In the second half, Western United made some good changes. Along with that Josh Risdon changed from right back to the left hand side. What resulted was Risdon providing an assist for Aleksandar Prijovic. The game finished 1-all.
