In a Nutshell
I have compiled a combined team of players with one foreign player from each of the eleven teams in the A-League. The team formulated took into account all games played in the A-League 2019/20 Season up until March 23rd, 2020, when the A-League was postponed. To be eligible for selection a player must have been part of a A-League team’s squad as of January 1, 2020. Check out the combined team of local Australian players!

Daniel Lopar has been outstanding for the Western Sydney Wanderers. The Wanderers have Lopar to thank for them sitting just one point outside of the top 6. He gives the rest of the team confidence.
Steven Taylor has been a good leader for the Wellington Phoenix. Taylor has played all of the 20 games that the Phoenix have played this Season.
Tom Aldred has always kept the morale of the Brisbane Roar at an acceptable level. Aldred has led from the front.
Michael Jakobsen has had a good Season. Jakobsen is one of the best Captain’s in the A-League. He is a quality player and is a player of good character.
Migjen Basha has been a shinning light for the Melbourne Victory. Basha has always displayed great endeavour, despite the Victory sitting 2nd last on the A-League ladder.
Milan Djuric is a player that has made a good contribution for the Central Coast Mariners. Djuric has scored 4 goals for the Mariners.
Diego Castro is the most important player at the Perth Glory. Castro creates plenty of chances in the final third.
Alessandro Diamanti is Captain of this hypothetical team, because Diamanti leads by example. His passing is exquisite and he has scored 5 goals this Season.
Roy O’Donovan has been exceptionally important for the Newcastle Jets. Adam Le Fondre has scored the most goals this A-League Season of any foreign players in the A-League. Le Fondre has scored an impressive 17 goals thus far this Season.
Craig Noone has been a pivotal part of the Melbourne City team.
