In a Nutshell
I have compiled a combined team of players with one Australian player from each of the eleven teams in the A-League. The team formulated took into account all games played in the A-League 2019/20 Season up until March 23rd, 2020, when the A-League was postponed. To be eligible for selection a player must have been part of a A-League team’s squad as of January 1, 2020. Check out the combined team of local Australian players!

Goalkeeper
Andrew Redmayne has conceded the least goals in the A-League this Season. Redmayne is now a regular part of the Socceroos squad. He is possibly the best goalkeeper in the A-League.
Defenders
Dylan McGowan is one of the reasons why the Western Sydney Wanderers are currently only one point outside of the top 6.
James Donachie has never stop trying for Melbourne Victory. Donachie has featured in 20 of Melbourne Victory’s 21 games.
Luke DeVere has never shirked a contest, that’s why his Captain of this hypothetical team. DeVere has been a pivotal part of the Wellington Phoenix having such a stellar Season thus far. He has featured in all 20 of the Phoenix’s games this Season.
Midfielders
Josh Risdon has been extremely impressive for Western United. Risdon has worked tirelessly.
Steven Ugarkovic is a quality player and has finally added goals to his game. He is now an integral part of the Newcastle Jets team.
Aiden O’Neill is a young midfielder that is an unsung part of the Brisbane Roar midfield.
Riley McGree is possibly the best midfielder in the A-League in the final third.
James Meredith has been a revelation for the Perth Glory. Meredith works tirelessly on the left-hand side.
Strikers
Jamie Maclaren is currently the top goal scorer in the 2019/20 A-League Season as it stands. Melbourne City sit second on the A-League ladder. They have Maclaren to thank for that, as he has been clinical in the final third.
Jordan Murray has had a reasonable Season. Murray has the potential to have a good impact in the final third. He scored a brace in the Central Coast Mariners last game against Melbourne City. Hopefully that game is a sign of things to come and not an aberration.
