My Favourite 10 Melbourne Demons Players (AFL Season 2020)

10- Mitch Brown (Utility)

Mitch Brown is a player that has a lot of potential to be a good player. Brown should play up forward as that role would suit him. Like Adam Tomlinson he needs to prove that his poor performance in Round 1 was a one off.

9- Jake Lever (Defender)

Jake Lever has struggled to play games on a consistent basis at the Melbourne Demons. Lever has the capability to be a good player if he can play at his optimum level.

8- Max Gawn (Ruckman)

Max Gawn has been elevated to Captain of the Melbourne Demons footy club for Season 2020. Gawn was named on the interchange bench in the 2019 AFL All Australian team.

7- Oscar McDonald (Defender)

Oscar McDonald is a defender that has the capability to negate the oppositions key forward. McDonald displayed this in Round 1 of Season 2020 where he was named in the Melbourne Demons best players on the AFL website.

6- James Harmes (Utility)

James Harmes is a reasonably talented player, which he showed in the 2019 Season where he managed to finish 4th in the Melbourne Demons best and fairest. Harmes has the capability to play multiple roles as he showed in Round 1 of Season 2020, where he started on a half back flank.

5- Clayton Oliver (Midfielder)

Clayton Oliver averaged an impressive 30.05 disposals per game in Season 2019. Oliver won the 2019 Melbourne Demons best and fairest, of which he finished equal 1st with Demons ruckman Max Gawn.

4- Angus Brayshaw (Utility)

Angus Brayshaw is a talented player, which he showed in 2018 when he finished 3rd in the AFL Brownlow Medal. Brayshaw played every game in Season 2019 finishing 8th in the Melbourne Demons best and fairest.

3- Adam Tomlinson (Wing)

Adam Tomlinson is a recruit that needs his endeavour to match his talent. Tomlinson should relish the opportunity of playing on a wing. He needs to prove his poor display in Round 1 was an aberration.

2- Michael Hibberd (Defender)

Michael Hibberd is a player that always shows a great amount of endeavour. Hibberd predominantly plays on a half back flank, creating plenty of run out of defence.

1- Ed Langdon (Wing)

Ed Langdon has already shown in Round 1 of Season 2020 that he will be a key player for the Melbourne Demons this Season. Langdon accumulated an impressive 31 disposals. That’s despite the fact that the West Coast Eagles controlled the game. He finished 5th in the 2019 Fremantle Dockers best and fairest, which shows he could be a good acquisition for the Demons.
