20- Josh Daicos (Collingwood Magpies)
Josh Daicos won the Magpies best and fairest and was selected on the wing in the AFL All-Australian team. He performed to a high level for most of the season, but he had a poor final’s series.
19- Charlie Curnow (Carlton Blues)
Charlie Curnow won the Coleman Medal and was selected at full-forward in the AFL All-Australian team. Despite having a good season, he was quiet in the final’s series, which is why he isn’t in the top ten.
18- Jack Sinclair (St Kilda Saints)
Sinclair won the Saints best and fairest and was selected on a half-back flank in the AFL All-Australian team.
17- Nic Newman (Carlton Blues)
Newman finished second in the Blues best and fairest and was unfortunate not to be in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44. His improvement had a strong correlation with the Blues improvement.
16- Noah Anderson (Gold Coast Suns)
Noah Anderson won the Suns best and fairest and was the only Suns player that was chosen in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.
15- Connor Rozee (Port Adelaide Power)
Rozee was selected on the half-forward flank in the AFL All-Australian team. He played a pivotal part in the Power team in season 2023. He gets outshone by Zak Butters, but Rozee had an outstanding season.
14- Caleb Serong (Fremantle Dockers)
Serong was selected on the interchange bench in the AFL All-Australian team. He was clearly the best player for the Dockers and his endeavour never wavered.
13- Tim English (Western Bulldogs)
English was the sole ruckman selected in the AFL All-Australian team. He was universally viewed as the best ruckman in the AFL, even though his team just missed final’s.
12- Taylor Walker (Adelaide Crows)
Taylor Walker had an outstanding season for the Crows. He averaged the most goal per game of any player in the AFL with 3.45 in the 22 games that he featured in.
11- Harris Andrews (Brisbane Lions)
Harris Andrews was a player that the Lions relied heavily on, which was evident in the Lions best and fairest, as he won their best and fairest, even though Lachie Neale won the Brownlow Medal.
