Top 50 players in the AFL Season 2023 (40-31)

40- Matt Rowell (Gold Coast Suns)

Rowell finished 3rd in the Suns best and fairest. He had the most tackles of any player in the AFL with 190. Along with that he averaged the fourth most clearances of any player in the AFL per game with 7.65, which was more than Marcus Bontempelli and Caleb Serong.

39- Tim Taranto (Richmond Tigers)

Taranto won the Tigers best and fairest and averaged 6.17 clearances per game.

38- Jack Viney (Melbourne Demons)

Viney finished second in the Demons best and fairest. He was one of two of their players that was chosen in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.

37- Tom Liberatore (Western Bulldogs)

Tom Liberatore of the Bulldogs finished second in their best and fairest. Along with that he was one of three of their players in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.

36- Kyle Langford (Essendon Bombers)

Langford finished second in the Bombers best and fairest and one of three of their players that was in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.

35- Josh Kelly (GWS Giants)

Josh Kelly finished fifth in the Giants best and fairest, even though he missed four games through injury. He leads by example and had a decent final’s series.

34- Josh Dunkley (Brisbane Lions)

Dunkley averaged the second most disposals of any Lions player with an average of 24.25 disposals per game and was unlucky to miss out on the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.

33- Hugh McCluggage (Brisbane Lions)

McCluggage deserved to be in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44 as he finished third in the Lions best and fairest.

32- Brayden Maynard (Collingwood Magpies)

Maynard finished equal second in the Magpies best and fairest along with Nick Daicos.

31- Lachie Neale (Brisbane Lions)

Neale won the 2023 AFL Brownlow Medal and finished second in the Lions best and fairest.
