Adelaide United: They’re a tough team to beat
Adelaide United proved that they’re arguably the best team in the A-League with a quality performance. For the second game in a row they scored four goals. Nestory Irankunda had an impact again scoring a goal and creating havoc as an impact player.
Brisbane Roar: Never gave up, but the task proved too tough
Brisbane Roar showed plenty of character to nearly get something out of a game that they only had 29% possession in, but in the end they lost 2-1 to the league leaders, Melbourne City.
Central Coast Mariners: Their depth was tested
Central Coast Mariners were missing three defenders and a winger and conceded the first goal. Despite that, they scored four goals and won the game against Macarthur FC comfortably.
Macarthur FC: Deplorable
Macarthur FC were shocking in the second half as they lost 4-1, despite scoring the opening goal of the game.
Melbourne City: They got the three points in the end
Melbourne City would be delighted that with their performance, but disappointed they missed a penalty and other opportunities and they nearly dropped points, because of that.
Melbourne Victory: Their season appears over
Melbourne Victory left their run too late as they made changes at half time that made an impact. They’re still at the bottom of the A-League table.
Newcastle Jets: Out of their depth
Newcastle Jets conceded four goals against Adelaide United, as they didn’t have enough polish.
Perth Glory: No words can do the win justice!
Perth Glory were down to 10-men in the second minute of the game. They showed character, resilience and belief to claim three points with nearly the last kick of the game.
Sydney FC: Didn’t take their chances
Sydney FC would be disappointed that they were left empty handed; they played some good football, but weren’t clinical in the final third
Wellington Phoenix: Ground out a win
Wellington Phoenix didn’t play to the level that they are capable, but they scored a goal in the 21st minute and were defensively sound.
Western Sydney Wanderers: Bad luck or tactics?
Western Sydney Wanderers did hit the post on a few occasions. Despite that, Marko Rudan was outcoached by Ruben Zadkovich of Perth Glory, as the Western Sydney Wanderers system didn’t stack up.
Western United: They won their third game in a row!
Western United kept their season alive as they claimed all three points. They would be pleased with their first half, but their second half shows that still have plenty of work to do.
