Adelaide United: Showed true character and grit

Adelaide United would be satisfied with a point. Despite leading 3-1, at half time, against top of the table Melbourne City. They lost two players through injury; the first was George Blackwood, who scored a goal in the opening minute. The second was Juande who had to be taken to hospital.

Brisbane Roar: Nothing positive

Brisbane Roar put in a woeful 90 minute display and deservedly loss the game against the Newcastle Jets 4-0.

Central Coast Mariners: They aren’t scared to go all out attack

Central Coast Mariners weren’t afraid of playing a high risk, attacking brand of football against the Western Sydney Wanderers. Fittingly the game finished 2-all.

Macarthur FC: A fresh start

Macarthur FC fought hard to claim a draw, even though they were down to ten men early in the second half. They put in a good performance under interim coach, Mile Sterjovski.

Melbourne City: Fought back with their attack

Melbourne City displayed that they’re a tough team to play against as they fought back from a two goal deficit at half time.

Melbourne Victory: They needed at least a point

Melbourne Victory failed to claim a point in the big blue, despite the fact they broke the deadlock through a fantastic Jake Brimmer free kick in the 26th minute.

Newcastle Jets: A solid 90 minute display

Newcastle Jets put in a good shift. It was difficult to find a bad player. They played well in the first half for no rewarded, but they scored four goals in the second half.

Perth Glory: They fought back

Perth Glory was losing 2-0 in the 20th minute, but managed to claim a point as they played a good brand of football.

Sydney FC: A vital three points

Sydney FC had a solid contribution from all their players, after falling behind to the Melbourne Victory in the 26th minute.

Wellington Phoenix: Fell apart

Wellington Phoenix showed that 2-0 is the most dangerous scoreline for a reason, conceding the first goal to Perth Glory just two minutes after scoring their first goal! The game ended in a draw.

Western Sydney Wanderers: Their scoring boots were back on

They scored two goals in an end to end game against the Central Coast Mariners to ensure the game ended in a draw.

Western United: Fortunate to claim a point

Western United trailed 2-1 up until the 89th minute, despite Macarthur FC being down to ten men for most of the second half.
