Steven May of the Demons had a brilliant Season in 2022, which was vindicated by being named at fullback in the AFL All-Australian team.
Brayden Maynard had a fantastic Season for the Magpies and was named in the back pocket of the AFL All- Australian team.

Half-backs

Nick Daicos may have been in his first Season of AFL footy, but he had the equal most Brownlow Medal votes for the Magpies with Jack Crisp, as they finished with 11 votes. Nick Daicos was a revelation in his first AFL Season.
Jeremy Howe had a great Season for the Magpies as he averaged 6.96 intercepts per game.
Daniel Rioli was a revelation for the Tigers in Season 2022 with an average of 20.48 disposals per game. He was named in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.

Centres

Hugh McCluggage was outstanding for the Lions. He was named in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.
Clayton Oliver of the Demons did well in the Brownlow Medal and was named in the midfield of the AFL-All Australian team.
Angus Brayshaw performed well for the Demons, playing various roles for the Demons.

Half-forwards

Christian Petracca of the Demons is capable of playing in the midfield and up forward.
Jeremy Cameron polled the most Brownlow Medal votes of any Cats player with 19 votes, which is remarkable for a key forward.
Shai Bolton from the Tigers was named in the AFL All-Australian team for Season 2022.

Forwards

Charlie Cameron of the Lions was outstanding for them in Season 2022 and was named in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.
Tom Hawkins from the Cats leads by example and has the capability to pinch hit in the ruck.
Tom J. Lynch was named in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44. He featured in 19 of the Tigers 23 games with the highest average goals of any player in the AFL with an average of 3.32 goals per game.

Followers

Max Gawn of the Demons was named in the ruck for the AFL All-Australian team in Season 2022.
Lachie Neale from the Lions nearly won the Brownlow Medal in Season 2022.
