Backs

Angus Brayshaw had an extremely consistent Season for the Demons. He also showed that he can play a number of roles.
Tom Barrass was a shining light for the Eagles, as he averaged the fifth most intercepts per game with an average of 8.00 in 19 games. Along with that he won the Eagles Best and Fairest fairly comfortably. He was named in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.
James Sicily of the Hawks averaged the third most intercepts of any player in the AFL with an average of 8.55 intercepts per game.

Half-backs

Nick Daicos of the Magpies led from the front, even though Season 2022 was only his first year of AFL footy. He averaged the most disposals of any Magpies player with an average of 25.76 disposals per game. He was named the AFL Rising Star for Season 2022.
Sam Taylor was remarkable for the Giants; he won their Best and Fairest fairly comfortably and was named in the AFL All-Australian team for Season 2022.
Jack Sinclair of the Saints was named on the half back flank in the AFL All-Australian team for Season 2022.

Centres

Callum Mills of the Swans finished seventh in the AFL Brownlow Medal in Season 2022.
Zach Merrett of the Bombers finished tenth in the AFL Brownlow Medal for Season 2022, despite only featuring in 19 games.
Blake Acres had an outstanding Season for the Dockers playing on the wing. He averaged the second most metres gained of any Dockers player with an average of 440.15 metres gained per game, in the 20 games he featured in.

Half-forwards

Connor Rozee was outstanding for the Power. He averaged the second most score involvements of any Power player with an average of 5.91 score involvements per game. He was named in the AFL All-Australian Team.
Jeremy Cameron of the Cats had an outstanding Season in 2022 as he was named in the AFL All-Australian Team.
Shai Bolton of the Tigers was named on the half forward flank of the AFL All-Australian Team. He averaged 7.48 score involvements per game, which was the sixth highest average of any player in the AFL in Season 2022.

Forwards

Marcus Bontempelli was the reason why the Bulldogs snuck into the top eight. He averaged the fifth most score involvements with an average of 7.77 score involvements per game. He led from the front.
Charlie Curnow of the Blues won the Coleman Medal with 64 goals.
Charlie Cameron of the Lions was named in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44.

Followers

Jarrod Witts led well for the Suns. He was named in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44 and averaged the most hit-outs of any player in the AFL with an average of 37.86 hit-outs per game.
Jy Simpkin won the Kangaroos best and fairest in Season 2022.
Ben Keays of the Crows was leading the Brownlow Medal after Round 5, along with Andrew Brayshaw and Cristian Petracca. He had a consistent Season and showed that he is a pivotal part of the future of the Crows.
