Formation (5-4-1- Premier League Season 2019/20 Players)

The formation would consist of two attacking wingbacks, three centre backs, a narrow central midfield consisting of four players and one striker.

Starting 11: Dean Henderson, Kyle Walker, Antonio Rudiger, Victor Lindelof, Nathan Ake, Andrew Robertson, Nemanja Matic, Kevin De Bruyne, Jordan Henderson (Captain) James Maddison, Marcus Rashford

Substitutes: Ben Foster, Gary Cahill, Marcos Alonso, Mateo Kovacic, Ross Barkley, Sadio Mane


Goalkeeper

Dean Henderson played for Sheffield United in the Premier League Season 2019/20 on loan and has just signed a contract with Manchester United until 2025. That shows what a quality goalkeeper he is. Everyone knows how well he played with Sheffield United. With regards to the formation of 5-4-1; there would be two attacking wing backs. It’s actually a fairly attacking formation, which requires a goalkeeper of Dean Henderson’s calibre!

Defenders

Kyle Walker of Manchester City would be suited to playing as an attacking right wing back, because he is capable of making marauding runs forward.
Antonio Rudiger played for Chelsea is a player that has the capability of being the best central defender in the Premier League. The formation would showcase Rudiger’s defensive ability.
Victor Lindelof from Manchester United would be extremely good in this formation as he is a good centre back.
Nathan Ake from Bournemouth is a natural fit for this formation.
Andrew Robertson of Liverpool is suited to playing as a left wing back.

Midfielders

Nemanja Matic of Manchester United would play as a defensive central midfielder.
Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City is a player that has the capability of creating goal scoring opportunities. As De Bruyne played a role in 36 goals for Manchester City, either scoring or providing an assist he would be a good fit.
Jordan Henderson from Liverpool, is a great leader and quality central midfielder. A player that leads by example as Jordan Henderson does is a natural fit to this team.
James Maddison from Leicester City has the capability of playing as an attacking midfielder.

Striker

Marcus Rashford from Manchester United that scored 17 goals and provided eight assists in the Premier League Season 2019/20. Rashford would be suited as playing as the sole striker in this system.

Substitutes

Ben Foster is a goalkeeper who played for relegated Watford, but still managed to keep nine clean sheets.
Gary Cahill played for Crystal Palace. When he is at his best, he is still a quality defender.
Marcos Alonso is a player from Chelsea who is suited to this formation.
Mateo Kovacic is a quality central midfielder from Chelsea.
Ross Barkley of Chelsea is a player that has the capability to play central midfield or an attacking midfielder.
Sadio Mane from Liverpool would be a great option as an impact player.
