Igor Jesus of Nottingham Forest broke the deadlock late in the first half against Tottenham Hotspur, in a game that Forest won 3-0. The goal was just his third goal of the season.

Brighton and Hove Albion had two players in the starting line up against Liverpool that are older than their coach Fabian Hurzeler who is 33; Danny Welbeck is 35 years old and James Milner is 40!

Danny Weleck has scored 12 goals this season.

Newcastle United have dropped 22 points from winning positions this season, which is the most of any team in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur haven’t won a game in the league for 13 games, which is their longest winless streak in top-flight history in 91 years.

Highlights

Everton had an upset win against Chelsea, 3-0.

Danny Welbeck scored a brace for Brighton and Hove Albion in a 2-1 win against Liverpool. Welbeck is like a fine wine; he gets better with age.

Sunderland had a comeback win against Newcastle United, in a game that Sunderland won 2-1.

Nottingham Forest won their first game in the Premier League under their fourth coach that they have had this season- Vitor Pereira, which ended a seven-game winless streak in the league.

Premier League Matchweek 30 Review 2025/26

Clean Sheets: Nine out of 20 teams that played kept a clean sheet.
Draws: There were six draws in ten matches.
Possession: In three out of four matches where a team claimed three points, the winning team had more possession than their opponent.

Points of Interest

Bruno Fernandes has the most assists in a Premier League season of any Manchester United player in their history, with 16, which surpassed David Beckham who had 15 in 1999/00.

Dominik Szoboszlai has scored four direct free-kick goals in this Premier League season. He now holds the record for the most direct free-kick goals by a Liverpool player in a single Premier League season, surpassing the previous best of three.

Highlights

16-year-old Max Dowman became the youngest-ever Premier League goalscorer for Arsenal by netting in their 2-0 win over Everton.

Benjamin Sesko scored his fourth goal off the bench under interim coach Michael Carrick, in the Premier League this season. Sesko scored his seventh goal in his last nine games.

Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers played an entertaining 2-2 draw. Brentford were leading 2-0, but bottom placed Wolverhampton Wanderers fought back to prove what a tough league the Premier League is, scoring twice and hitting the woodwork twice.

Premier League Matchweek 29 Review 2025/26

Points of Interest

Everton had a vital win over Burnley, which ended a run of six Premier League home matches without a win for Everton.

Wolverhampton Wanderers may have only won three games this season, but they had won their last two games, the first against Aston Villa and the second against Liverpool, so perhaps there is a glimmer of hope that Wolverhampton Wanderers can avoid relegation.

Highlights

Joao Pedro of Chelsea scored a hat trick for them in their 4-1 win over Aston Villa.

Elliot Anderson of Nottingham Forest had a stunning strike, that salvaged a 2-2 draw away from home against Manchester City.

Ismalia Sarr scored a brace for Crystal Palace in a 3-1 away win against Tottenham Hotspur.
