(Week 5 of the A-League 2019/20 Restart- Review)- Facts and Figures

Goals Scored: 17 goals in six games = 2.83 goals per game!
Clean Sheets: Two out of the six games had at least one clean sheet in it, which equates to 33.33% of games!
Draws: There were two draws in six games.
A-League Restart- Week 5 (In a Nutshell): The football that was played was of a high standard in the five games that were played. There were goals galore and plenty of entertainment from the perspective of a neutral spectator. Find out why!


Monday Night Game

Brisbane Roar (1) v Sydney FC (1)
Exciting Stalemate!
Facts and Figures: The game was a good contest that ebbed and flowed.
Pivotal Moments: Jamie Young made an outstanding save in the 5th minute. Matthew Ridenton was denied a goal in the 35th minute by an Andrew Redmayne save. Luke Ivanovic scored in the 40th minute to equalise. Jamie Young made some freakish saves in the second half.

Tuesday Night Game

Melbourne City (2) v Adelaide United (2)
Stalemate in Game of the Season!
Facts and Figures: The game was an exciting one to watch as a neutral spectator.
Pivotal Moments: Melbourne City scored the first goal of the game through great lead up work from Craig Noone and a clinical finish from Adrian Luna. Ryan Kitto had a shot well saved by Tom Glover late in the first half.

Facts and Figures: Despite controlling the first half, Wellington Phoenix were losing 1-nil at half time.
Pivotal Moments: Noah James made a superb save early in the game. Shortly after he saved a possible goal with a header! Stefan Marinovic saved a shot that was deflected superbly. Berni Ibini scored a superb goal. The Newcastle Jets claimed 21 points out of a possible 30 points with Carl Robinson as Coach!

Saturday Night Game

Sydney FC Outclassed!
Facts and Figures: Western United were better in the important wins.
Pivotal Moments: Alessandro Diamanti shot was saved but the save led to Besart Berisha opening the scoring. Alessandro Diamanti hit the bar from close to the half way line. Filip Kurto made a good save late in the first half.
