10- Ben Ainsworth (Utility)
Ben Ainsworth is a player that has the ability to be an important part of the Gold Coast Suns team. That’s based on his good performance in Round 1 of Season 2020.
9- Jarrod Harbrow (Back Pocket)
Jarrod Harbrow is a player that has the ability to provide run out of the back line. Harbrow finished an impressive 4th in the 2019 Gold Coast Suns best and fairest.
8- Darcy Macpherson (Utility)
Darcy Macpherson is currently playing on a half forward flank. Macpherson finished 3rd in the 2019 Gold Coast Suns best and fairest and is a relatively important player in Season 2020.
7- Pearce Hanley (Utility)
Pearce Hanley is a player with potential to be a pivotal part of the Gold Coast Suns back 6. Hanley can provide plenty of run off the half back flank.
6- Lachie Weller (Midfielder)
Expect Lachie Weller to be a revelation for the Gold Coast Suns in Season 2020. Weller averaged 22.06 disposals in 17 games in Season 2019. In Season 2020 he can become a pivotal part of the Suns team in Season 2020.
5- Jack Hombsch (Full Back)
Jack Hombsch is a key defender with plenty of ability; Hombsch just has to fulfill that potential. Season 2020 is the perfect time for him to improve. He finished in the top of the 2019 Gold Coast Suns best and fairest.
4- Hugh Greenwood (Utility)
It was an astute move by the Gold Coast Suns to recruit Hugh Greenwood for the 2020 Season. Greenwood had a good game in Round 1. That’s despite the fact that the Suns lost to the Port Adelaide Power by 47 points.
3- Sam Collins (Centre Half Back)
Sam Collins should be a pivotal part of the Gold Coast Suns back 6 in Season 2020 if Round 1 is anything to go by. Collins is a quality character and was added to the Suns leadership group for Season 2020.
2- Jarrod Witts (Ruckman)
Jarrod Witts is Co-Captain of the Gold Coast Suns once again and hasn’t been demoted despite the Suns finishing last in Season 2019. Witts always has a positive demeanour and is still the number one ruckman at the Suns.
1- Brandon Ellis (Wing)
Brandon Ellis was a Premiership player for the Richmond Tigers in 2019. Ellis has a 5 year contract with the Gold Coast Suns that would give him the confidence to play good footy. He was among the best players for the Suns in Round 1 of Season 2020 on the AFL website.
