My Favourite 10 Geelong Cats Players (AFL Season 2020)

10- Patrick Dangerfield (Midfielder)

Patrick Dangerfield is a quality player that was a part of the 2019 AFL All Australian 22; Dangerfield was chosen on the half forward flank. He also managed to win the 2019 Geelong Cats best and fairest.

9- Gary Ablett Jr (Forward Pocket)

Gary Ablett Jr is a player that is coming towards the end of his career, but Ablett has ability to cause the opposition problems. He kicked 34 goals in 24 games in Season 2019, which is an indicator that he is a still a goal threat.

8- Tom Stewart (Defender)

Tom Stewart in an extremely mobile defender that was rewarded his consistent Season in 2019 with being selected in the back pocket of the 2019 AFL All Australian team.

7- Rhys Stanley (Ruckman/Forward)

Rhys Stanley averaged 27.83 hitouts in the 18 games that he featured in for Season 2019. That’s a pretty impressive stat. I can’t fathom how he didn’t play Round 1 of Season 2020 as he deserves to be in the Geelong Cats best 22 based on his talent.

6- Gary Rohan (Forward Pocket)

Gary Rohan had a reasonable year in Season 2019 kicking 25 goals in 19 games. Rohan deserves to be in the team every week if he is to gain confidence and fulfill his potential.

5- Jack Henry (Defender)

Jack Henry is a player that has a lot of ability, in relation to curtailing the opposition forwards. Henry featured in 23 of the 25 games that the Geelong Cats played in during Season 2019.

4- Brandan Parfitt (Midfielder)

Brandan Parfitt is a midfielder that has plenty of talent, who played 20 games in Season 2019, averaging 18.2 disposals per game. I believe that Parfitt has plenty of potential, he just needs more opportunity to play at AFL level.

Cameron Guthrie played 20 games in Season 2019, averaging 18.4 disposals in the 20 games that he featured in.

2- Sam Menegola (Wing)

Sam Menegola isn’t only a good player, but a humble person. Menegola is an inspiration as he is a mature aged recruit, which is why. He averaged an impressive 19 disposals in the 12 games that he featured in.

1- Mitch Duncan (Wing)

Mitch Duncan is a quality player who conducts himself in an exemplary fashion; that’s why Duncan is a part of the Geelong Cats leadership group for Season 2020. He had 21 disposals and kicked 3 goals in Round 1. That’s a sign of things to come for him as he has yet to show his true potential.
