My Favourite 10 Fremantle Dockers Players (AFL Season 2020)

10- Matt Taberner (Forward)

Matt Taberner is a player that has so much ability, but needs to live up to it. Taberner has averaged just over a goal a game, but more importantly has the capability of being an important part of the Fremantle Dockers forward structure.

9- Darcy Tucker (Utility)

Darcy Tucker is another Fremantle Dockers player with plenty of potential. He has already played 70 games, despite being only 23 years old. Hopefully, Coach Justin Longmuir gives him time to develop in the midfield.

8- Travis Colyer (Utility)

Travis Colyer is a player that has plenty of potential, he just needs to perform at his best on a consistent basis and play his role for the Fremantle Dockers in order to fulfill that potential.

7- Nathan Wilson (Half Back Flank)

Nathan Wilson is a player that has the capability of creating plenty of run out of defence and help the Fremantle Dockers control the balance of play.

6- James Aish (Wing)

James Aish has the capability to be a pivotal part of the Fremantle Dockers team if he can finally live up to his potential. Aish is a player that I regard highly; he just needs to improve on his consistency and have more belief in himself and he will be renowned as a good player.

5- Rory Lobb (Forward/Ruckman)

Rory Lobb has the capability of being an important part of the Fremantle Dockers structure as Lobb proved in Round 1 of Season 2020 where he was exceptional. He has averaged close to a goal per game in his 89 game career in the AFL and has the capability to improve on that as he kicked 2 goals in Round 1 of Season 2020.

4- Joel Hamling (Full Back)

Joel Hamling has the capability of being renowned as 1 of the best key defenders in the competition if he can stay injury free. Hamling was an AFL Premiership player in 2016; if he can replicate the form he displayed then he will get the recognition he deserves. He is a quality person; that’s why he is still a part of the Fremantle Dockers leadership group for Season 2020.

3- Nat Fyfe (Midfielder)

Nat Fyfe is possibly the best player in the AFL at the moment; this can be substantiated by Fyfe being named the 2019 AFL All Australian Captain. That is a clear indication of how highly Fyfe is rated outside of the footy club.

2- Michael Walters (Utility)

Michael Walters is an exceptional footballer and role model; its no fluke that he was named on a half forward flank in the AFL 2019 All Australian team. Walters is also a good leader that’s why he is a part of the Femantle Dockers leadership group for Season 2020.

1- Blake Acres (Utility)

Blake Acres will find the change of clubs from the St Kilda Saints to the Fremantle Dockers extremely beneficial as I believe Acres has plenty of potential as a player. He will improve in Season 2020, after unfortunately missing Round 1 due to a hamstring injury.
