A-League, Round 17 Predicted Team of the Week (Remembering Wellington Phoenix are the Team with the Bye)
Formation
4-3-3
Starting 11:
Andrew Redmayne, Rhyan Grant, Harrison Delbridge, Nigel Boogaard, Adama Traore, Steven Ugarkovic, Luke Brattan, Neil Kilkenny, Abdiel Arroyo, Kosta Barbarouses, Max Burgess
Goalkeeper
Andrew Redmayne (Goalkeeper- Sydney FC)- Redmayne should continue on from the form that he displayed in Round 16 as he kept a clean sheet, despite Melbourne Victory having 8 shots on target.
Defenders
Rhyan Grant (Right Back- Sydney FC)- Grant was quiet in Round 16; that should motivate him to have a good game in Round 17.
Harrison Delbridge (Centre Back- Melbourne City)- Delbridge continues to impress with his performances and Round 17 should be no different against Adelaide United.
Nigel Boogaard (Centre Back- Newcastle Jets)- Boogaard was outstanding in his 1st game back from injury in Round 16; expect him to build on that form that he displayed in Round 17.
Adama Traore (Left Back- Melbourne Victory)- Traore will make many marauding runs forward against the Perth Glory as he generally combines well with the attackers.
Midfielders
Steven Ugarkovic (Centre Midfield- Newcastle Jets)- Ugarkovic will prove why he is possibly the Newcastle Jets most important player, in Round 17.
Luke Brattan (Centre Midfield- Sydney FC)- Brattan will be a key part of the Sydney FC midfield in Round 17.
Neil Kilkenny (Centre Midfield- Perth Glory)- Kilkenny will need to be at his best if the Perth Glory are to beat the Melbourne Victory in Round 17 as Victory progressed to the next Round of the Asian Champions League this week.
Strikers
Abdiel Arroyo (Striker- Newcastle Jets)- Arroyo should benefit from scoring a goal in Round 16, as it will boost his confidence.
Kosta Barbarouses (Striker- Sydney FC)- Barbarouses should score against the Brisbane Roar in Round 17.
Max Burgess (Striker- Newcastle Jets)- Burgess was responsible for the lead up work for 2 of Western United’s goals in Round 17 and I can see him continuing that good form in Round 17.
