Premier League Game Week 29 My Review (Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool)
The race for the Premier League title is heating up with Liverpool in with a chance of claiming the coveted prize. Chelsea and Manchester United are looking to finish in the top 4 on the Premier League table. There were plenty of talking points this week in the Premier League pertaining to the games that involved Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, find out what happened in those games.
Manchester United Southampton My Review
Manchester United may have nearly doubled the possession of Southampton, but they barely managed to win the game. They looked vulnerable to Southampton raids into their final 3rd and consequently they gave up the lead shortly following the midway point in the 1st half. United went into the half time break trailing by a goal. The game looked destined for a draw until Romelu Lukaku made the final score 3 goals to 2 in favour of United thanks a goal late in the contest, which meant that Lukaku finished the match with a brace and means United could finish in the top 4 on the Premier League table.
Fulham v Chelsea My Review
All 3 goals in the match were scored in an eventful 1st half with Chelsea managing to collect all 3 points and win the game 2 goals to 1. Chelsea had almost double the possession of that of Fulham and finished the game with a total of 20 shots. Judging Chelsea by the stats they should have won the game by more than 1 goal, but they were forced to settle for a narrow victory.
Everton v Liverpool My Review
Liverpool had the majority of possession and finished the game with a total of 10 shots. Honours were even at the end of the match with Everton and Liverpool finishing the Merseyside Derby goalless despite having 3 shots on target each. The result means that Liverpool now trail Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
