It should be Enthralling Round Two of Football in the A-League! Check out What the Results could Be!

A-League Round 2 My Preview

The Second Round of the A-League season could be one of the best of the season, with all of the five games being played featuring teams that are fairly evenly matched. Only two of the ten teams in the competition claimed all three points in Round One of the season, which substantiates that it’s an even competition.

My Choice of a definite winner for this Round: City

Friday Night Game

Reds v Jets
This is an exciting clash between two teams that need a win to kickstart their season. The Reds will be missing key midfielder Mirko Boland, because of injury. They do welcome back three key attackers back from injury in their expected squad on Thursday. The Jets will need to bounce back from their loss to the Phoenix last Sunday. The game will be the Reds second home game in a row, while the Jets play their second away game in succession.
Reds Game Changer: George Blackwood
Jets Game Changer: Dimi Petratos
My Prediction: Reds

Saturday Night Games

Mariners v City
This should be an intriguing clash with both teams getting a result in Round 1 of the A-League with the Mariners claiming a draw, while City managed to claim all three points on offer in the Melbourne Derby. It appears as if City should win this one, but the Mariners will be hoping that they make their home ground a fortress.
Mariners Game Changer: Antony Golec
City Game Changer: Bart Schenkeveld
My Prediction: City

Sky Blues v Wanderers
The Sydney derby appears to be a good one as the two teams involved are fairly evenly matched. Both teams were disappointing is the first half of their respective contests last week, but they both were able to score in the second half.
Sky Blues Game Changer: Josh Brillante
Wanderers Game Changer: Tarek Elrich
My Prediction: Wanderers

Sunday Games

Roar v Phoenix
Mark Rudan begins life as a manager with a tough test against last season’s Grand Finalist and runner up in the Jets. On another note Ernie Merrick coaches against his former team. I expect the Jets to be victorious in this contest.
Roar Game Changer: Stefan Mauk
Phoenix Game Changer: Alex Rufer
My Prediction: Draw

Victory v Glory
The Victory and the Glory both failed to claim the three points on offer in the first Round of the A-League season. The Glory managed to get one point out their clash with the Wanderers, unfortunately for the Glory they let their lead slip, while the Victory also failed to take full advantage of a one goal lead, but unlike the Glory the Victory left their game with nothing as far as points are concerned to show for their efforts.
Victory Game Changer: Kosta Barbarouses
Glory Game Changer: Andy Keogh
My Prediction: Glory
