It was a shock that he retired from Test cricket on December 30^th, 2014.His retirement from all formats of international cricket was made on August 15^th, 2020.
He captained India on 331 occasions; Indian Captain in 60 Test matches, 199 One Day Internationals and 72 T20 Internationals.
