  • He was a wicket-keeper and a quality right-handed batsman.
  • Having played 90 test matches, 350 one day internationals and 98 T20 internationals is pretty impressive.
  • It was a shock that he retired from Test cricket on December 30th, 2014.His retirement from all formats of international cricket was made on August 15th, 2020.
  • He captained India on 331 occasions; Indian Captain in 60 Test matches, 199 One Day Internationals and 72 T20 Internationals.
