  • He was an All-rounder, who made his Test debut in 1954, for the West Indies.

  • He was a Left-handed batsman and a left arm bowler capable of bowling Left-arm fast medium and spin.
  • A big achievement for him when he was knighted in February 1995, less than a year after he retired from Test cricket.
