Stefan Marinovic (Goal Keeper- Wellington Phoenix)- The best player in Round 5 of the A-League.
Nikolai Topor-Stanley (Left Sided Centre Back- Newcastle Jets)- Relished the opportunity to Captain his team in the absence of Nigel Boogaard, Topor-Stanley made a good contribution for his team.
Andrew Durante (Centre Back- Western United)- Put in a good shift and scored the all important equaliser.
Lachlan Jackson (Right Sided Centre Back- Newcastle Jets)- Was outstanding; performed extremely well, Jackson proved he deserves to start every game for his team.
Migjen Basha (Defensive Midfield- Melbourne Victory)- Basha helped Melbourne Victory control the balance of play.
Connor Metcalfe (Left Sided Central Midfield- Melbourne City)- Was constantly dangerous when he had possession of the ball; Metcalfe finished the game with a critical assist.
James Troisi (Central Midfield- Adelaide United)- James Troisi displayed superb skill, providing the all important assist for the only goal of the game.
Josh Brillante (Right Sided Central Midfielder- Melbourne City)- Played an amazing game in midfield, Brillante showed what a quality player he is.
Alessandro Diamanti (Right Sided Attacker- Western United)- Diamanti led from the front for Western United, he helped his team control the tempo of the game.
Ola Toivonen (Central Striker- Melbourne Victory)- A typical Ola Toivonen performance; he was rewarded for his hard work and classy skill with the equalising goal.
Scott Mcdonald (Left Sided Attacker- Western United)- Mcdonald put in a good performance for the 2nd week in a row and was unfortunate not to score what would have been a pivotal goal, as the ball appeared to be over the line. A-League 2019/20- Round 5 My Preview

The opening 4 Rounds of the A-League were good to watch due to the fact that there has been just 1 game with a margin of more than 1 goal separating the 2 teams, which is an unbelievable stat. As stated before, the opportunity is there for the A-League to grow. Once again there are 5 games that are intriguing on paper!
