Backs

Callum Wilkie was selected in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44 in 2022.
Noah Balta needs to improve in season 2023 and will probably do so.
Jack Sinclair would be a revelation if he played in the back pocket in the upcoming season.

Half-backs

Daniel Rioli was selected in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44 in 2022.
Nick Vlastuin averaged the fourth equal highest average of intercepts of any player last season. He averaged 8.00 intercepts per game in 17 games.
Ryan Burton is underrated player as he is a quality player. He should be more widely renowned in season 2023.

Centres

Connor Rozee was selected in the AFL All-Australian team in season 2022.
Ollie Wines should perform to his optimum level in season 2023.
Dan Houston averaged the third most metres gained of any Port Adelaide player in season 2022. He averaged 384.76 metres gained in the 21 games that he featured in.

Half-forwards

Shai Bolton was selected on the half-forward flank of AFL All-Australian team in season 2022.
Todd Marshall kicked 45 goals in season 2022. That was nearly double the next best of 24 goals for Sam Powell-Pepper.
Travis Boak leads by example and he should play well in season 2023.

Forwards

Jade Gresham has the capability to play in the forward pocket. He finished seventh in the St Kilda Best and Fairest last season, despite missing four games through injury.
Tim Membrey finished fourth in the St Kilda Best and Fairest last season.
Tom Lynch won the Richmond Best and Fairest in season 2022.

Followers

Rowan Marshall will be the undisputed number one ruckman in season 2023. That is due to Patrick Ryder retiring at the end of last season.
Jack Steele is a great leader. He finished third in the Best and Fairest for St Kilda, despite missing four games through injury.
Tim Taranto should be a revelation for Richmond in season 2023.
