Facts and Figures: The Cats were the only team that was going to win this game from the moment Tom Hawkins kicked the opening goal of the game. It was difficult to decipher whether they were outstanding or if Essendon were woeful.
Pivotal Moment: Tom Hawkins gave the Cats a 47 point lead early in the second quarter with his fourth goal of the game.
