Goalkeeper
Alphonso Areola (Goalkeeper- Fulham)- Areola of Fulham, did brilliantly to keep a clean sheet in Matchweek 20. He was probably the reason why Fulham kept a clean sheet and claimed a point. The match was controlled by Brighton and Hove Albion who had five shots on target.
Defenders
João Cancelo (Right Back- Manchester City)- Cancelo provided an assist for the first goal and scored the second goal for Manchester City.
Lewis Dunk (Centre Back- Brighton and Hove Albion)- Dunk helped Brighton and Hove Albion keep a clean sheet. He blocked a shot from Fulham that would have gone in the back of the net late in the match.
Tiago Silva (Centre Back- Chelsea)- Silva had an outstanding match for Chelsea.
Aaron Cresswell (Left Back- West Ham)- Cresswell put in a good performance for West Ham in Matchweek 20.
Midfielders
Tomas Soucek (Defensive Midfield- West Ham)- Soucek scored a brace for West Ham, despite playing in defensive midfield.
John Lundstram (Centre Midfield- Sheffield United)– Lundstram provided the assist for what proved to be the winning goal for Sheffield United.
Ilkay Gündogan (Centre Midfield- Manchester City)- Gündogan scored a brace for Manchester City in a one sided win over West Brom.
Bukayo Saka (Attacking Midfield- Arsenal)- Saka scored a goal and provided an assist in Arsenal’s win over Southampton.
Strikers
Alexandre Lacazette (Striker- Arsenal)- Lacazette scored a goal and provided an assist for Arsenal.
Sadio Mané (Right Wing/Striker- Liverpool)- Mané of Liverpool scored a goal and provided an assist.
Matchweek 20 Team of the Week (Final Thoughts)
In Matchweek 20, I tried my best to select the Premier League Team of the as accurately as possible. All 20 teams played one match. It was tough to choose the team with plenty of goals and attacking football being played. Contrastingly there were two scoreless draws. It was tough to leave players out of the team, but that’s football.
