My Favourite T20 11 (New Zealand- Team Four of Eight)

In a Nutshell

I have compiled a team of my favourite players from eight different countries in alphabetical order. To be eligible for selection a player must have played at least one T20 game for their country. To be a Captain of the team a player must have Captained a T20 team at the very least for a domestic T20 team. Find out who made my All Time T20 favourite players for New Zealand!

Opening Batsmen

Brendon McCullum from New Zealand was a quality batsman to watch when he was in full flight. He was capable of changing the game with his big hitting. Despite the fact that its risky to be an attacking batter, he knew when to endeavour to hit fours and sixers when needed. There’s no doubt he was adaptable and had great judgement.
Martin Guptill is suited to opening the batting at international level in the T20 format of the game.

Middle Order Batsmen

Kane Williamson has the flexibility to bat anywhere in the top four for New Zealand, at T20 international level. His strike rate is an impressive 130.59 when batting at number four at T20 international level. He has even taken 6 wickets in 60 matches bowling right arm off breaks!
Ross Taylor has won six games and lost six games as New Zealand Captain in the T20 format.

All Rounders

Nathan Astle had a strike rate of 146.15 runs per innings batting at number five in the T20 format. He took four wickets in four matches bowling right arm medium!
Scott Styris averaged an impressive 36.50 batting at number six in the T20 format. He bowled right arm medium fast and took 18 wickets in 31 matches.

Wicketkeeper

Luke Ronchi is a wicketkeeper with an impressive strike rate 172.37 when batting at number seven. He has 24 catches and 6 stumpings in 33 matches!

Bowlers

Tim Southee has a strike rate of 225.00 when batting at number eight! He has taken 78 wickets in 71 matches bowling right arm medium fast.
Daniel Vettori has taken 38 wickets in 34 matches bowling left arm orthodox.
Trent Boult is a left arm fast medium bowler with 39 wickets in 27 matches.
Shane Bond is a right arm fast medium bowler who took 25 wickets in 20 matches.
