My Top 3 Most Important Players for Each Team in the Premier League Season 2020/21 (Part One of Four)

A most important player can range from a player who is purely pivotal for the team from a structural perspective to someone capable of scoring a hat trick. The players selected must have played at least one game as a substitute in Matchweek 1 to 8. In Part One, the five teams are, the first five teams alphabetically in the Premier League. Those teams are Arsenal, Aston Villa, Brighton and Hove Albion, Burnley and Chelsea. Check out Part One!

Arsenal (Top 3 Most Important Players)

3rd Most Important Player- Héctor Bellerín has been an integral part of Arsenal’s team with three assists.
2nd Most Important Player- Alexandre Lacazette scored a goal in each of the 1st three games, with Arsenal winning the first two games of the Season.
THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER- Bernd Leno has been pivotal for Arsenal making 21 saves. He has only conceded ten goals in six games, as two of the eight games his team has kept a clean sheet in. It’s tough being a goalkeeper playing with a back three.

Aston Villa (Top 3 Most Important Players)

3rd Most Important Player- Ross Barkley’s move to Aston Villa has coincided with their performance improving. He has played in all five games since being loaned out by Chelsea.
2nd Most Important Player- Jack Grealish has led from the front scoring four goals and providing six assists.
THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER- Tyrone Mings has been outstanding for Aston Villa scoring two goals and providing one assist in the seven games that the team has played in. He also been a part of a defence that has conceded the equal least goals, nine.

Brighton and Hove Albion (Top 3 Most Important Players)

3rd Most Important Player- Adam Lallana has been a pivotal a part of the Brighton and Hove Albion team, which is what you’d expect from someone who has played at Liverpool!
2nd Most Important Player- Tariq Lamptey has one goal and three assists playing at right back, which is impressive.
THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER- Neal Maupay has scored four goals and provided one assist, featuring in seven of Brighton and Hove Albion’s games.

Burnley (Top 3 Most Important Players)

3rd Most Important Player- Charlie Taylor is an important part of the Burnley defence, even providing one assist!
2nd Most Important Player- Nick Pope has been a pivotal part of the Burnley team as he has made some good saves.
THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER- Chris Wood is a player that’s imperative to the Burnley structure, despite only scoring one player.

Chelsea (Top 3 Most Important Players)

3rd Most Important Player- Kurt Zouma has scored three goals. He has featured in seven of Chelsea’s opening eight games.
2nd Most Important Player- Édouard Mendy has kept three clean sheets in four games this Season!
THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER- Ben Chilwell has been a good addition to the Chelsea team. He is a left back, yet he has scored two goals and provide two assists. His team has kept three clean sheets in the five games that he has featured in.
