My 50 Most Naturally Talented A-League Players- Season 2019-20 (10-1)

10- Jamie Maclaren (Melbourne City)

Jamie Maclaren scored the most goal of any player in the A-League Season 2019/20. He scored 23 goals in 25 A-League games during that Season. It really substantiates how talented a player that Maclaren is that he managed to be such a threat in the final third.

9- Ola Toivonen (Melbourne Victory)

Ola Toivonen scored 10 goals in the 18 games that he played in during the A-League Season 2019/20. It showed how talented a player Ola Toivonen is, as Melbourne Victory had a disappointing Season as they finished second last on the A-League Season 2019/20 ladder.

8- Adam Le Fondre (Sydney FC)

Adam Le Fondre is a quality player in the final third, which can be substantiated by the fact that he scored 21 goals in 28 games in the A-League Season 2019/20. He is one of the reasons why Sydney FC won the Premiers Plate and the A-League Championship.

7- Liberato Cacace (Wellington Phoenix)

Liberato Cacace played extremely well in A-League Season 2019/20. He won’t be playing in the A-League in the next three years as he got recruited by a team in Europe, in Belgium.

6- Daniel Lopar (Western Sydney Wanderers)

Daniel Lopar was possibly the best goalkeeper in the A-League Season 2019/20. After the A-League restart, following the postponement due to the Covid, Lopar stayed in Europe, which was possibly the reason why the Western Sydney Wanderers didn’t play in the finals series and finish in the top six. He gave the team confidence prior to the A-League postponement, because at his best he is outstanding.

5- Max Burgess (Western United)

Max Burgess needs to be more clinical in the final third in order to reach his potential. He is extremely talented, but to go and play for a team in Europe Burgess needs to be more clinical, unfortunately, in A-League Season 2019/20 he scored just six goals and provided five assists.

4- Diego Castro (Perth Glory)

Diego Castro showed that he was extremely talented prior to the A-League restart, as he scored four goals and provided seven assists. Not returning to play for the Perth Glory following the postponement due to the Covid, may have been detrimental to the team’s poor form following the A-League restart.

3- Milos Ninkovic (Sydney FC)

Milos Ninkovic was instrumental in Sydney FC winning the Premier Plate and the A-League Championship in Season 2019/20. He scored six goals and provided three assists and showed how talented he was as his passing in general play that leads to goals in his strength, not necessarily his impact in the final third.

2- Tom Glover (Melbourne City)

Tom Glover is the most ‘naturally’ talented goalkeeper in the A-League Season 2019/20. It’s only a matter of when he joins a club in Europe as he is capable of making freakish saves.

1- Alessandro Diamanti (Western United)

Alessandro Diamanti is such a natural talent; no words can do his talent justice! He scored eight goals and provided seven assists, yet he is still capable of passing in general play.
