A-League, Round 15 Predicted Team of the Week (Remembering Sydney FC are the Team with the Bye)
Formation
4-4-2
Starting 11:
Liam Reddy, Matthew Millar, Luke DeVere, Alex Grant, Liberato Cacace, Neil Kilkenny, Cameron Devlin, Steven Ugarkovic, Diego Castro, Bruno Fornaroli, Kristian Opseth
Goalkeeper
Liam Reddy (Goalkeeper- Perth Glory)- There’s a good chance that Reddy will keep a clean sheet based on his performance in Round 14.
Defenders
Matthew Millar (Right Back- Newcastle Jets)- Expect Millar to make marauding runs forward as he has the potential to create attacking forays forward against Scott Jamieson, who will be at left back in the Newcastle Jets clash with Melbourne City in Round 15.
Luke DeVere (Centre Back- Wellington Phoenix)- Luke DeVere will be looking to replicate the form that he displayed in Round 14, in the Wellington Phoenix’s Round 15 game against the Brisbane Roar.
Alex Grant (Centre Back- Perth Glory)- Grant will be up against a Western Sydney Wanderers team that struggled in the final third in Round 14, so expect Grant to help the Perth Glory keep a clean sheet in Round 15.
Liberato Cacace (Left Back- Wellington Phoenix)- Cacace will be difficult to contain as he proved in Round 14.
Midfielders
Neil Kilkenny (Centre Midfield- Perth Glory)- Kilkenny will prove why he has been such a consistent player this A-League Season when the Perth Glory take on the Western Sydney Wanderers in Round 15.
Cameron Devlin (Centre Midfield- Wellington Phoenix)- Devlin was the player of the month in the A-League for December; that says it all.
Steven Ugarkovic (Centre Midfield- Newcastle Jets)- Ugarkovic scored an outstanding goal in Round 14 and will need to be at his best if the Newcastle Jets are to upset Melbourne City in Round 15.
Diego Castro (Attacking Midfield- Perth Glory)- The Western Sydney Wanderers will find it difficult to contain Castro in Round 15 as he should be able to replicate his form from the Perth Glory’s Round 14 game.
Strikers
Bruno Fornaroli (Striker- Perth Glory)- Expect Fornaroli to get on the score sheet and cause havoc for the Western Sydney Wanderers defence in Round 15.
Kristian Opseth (Adelaide United)- Expect Kristian Opseth to get on the score sheet against Melbourne Victory in Round 15.
