AFL Round 14 My Preview

AFL Round 14 My Preview

Last Round there was only 1 game that had a margin of more than 30 points. Hopefully, the narrow margins continue in Round 14. The following teams have byes in Round 14: Blues, Crows, Giants, Kangaroos, Suns and Tigers.

My choice of a definite winner for this Round: Swans

Thursday Night Game

Eagles v Bombers
The Eagles were disappointing prior to their bye in Round 12 against the Swans, so they will want to get back into form against the Bombers. The Bombers were outstanding against the Hawks in Round 13 so this could be an interesting and entertaining game.
Key matchup: Josh Kennedy v Michael Hurley
Eagles Game Changer: Andrew Gaff
Bombers Game Changer: Zach Merrett
My Prediction: Bombers

Friday Night Game

Swans v Hawks
The Swans are coming off the bye, while the Hawks need to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Bombers in Round 13. The Swans will want to continue on their good form from Round 12 where they beat the Eagles.
Key matchup: Sam Reid v James Sicily
Swans Game Changer: Tom Papley
Hawks Game Changer: Ricky Henderson
My Prediction: Swans

Saturday Afternoon Games

Demons v Dockers
Both teams need to win; the Demons need to be victorious to lift their morale, while the Dockers may sit 6th on the ladder, but there is only 1 win separating them from 11th place on the ladder.
Key matchup: Max Gawn v Sean Darcy
Demons Game Changer: Oskar Baker
Dockers Game Changer: Michael Walters
My Prediction: Demons

Saints v Lions
It’s 11th against 7th, but they are only separated by 1 win, so there’s plenty at stake!
Key matchup: Rowan Marshall v Stefan Martin
Saints Game Changer: Jack Billings
Lions Game Changer: Lachie Neale
My Prediction: Saints

Saturday Night Games

Power v Cats
The Power sit 9th on the ladder so this is almost a must win for them, while the Cats have only lost 1 game all year!
Key matchup: Scott Lycett v Rhys Stanley
Power Game Changer: Ryan Burton
Cats Game Changer: Mitch Duncan
My Prediction: Power

Sunday Afternoon Games

Bulldogs v Magpies
The Bulldogs sit 2 games outside the top 8 and the Magpies sit 3rd on the ladder, but this is a danger game for the Magpies.
Key matchup: Tim English v Brodie Grundy
Bulldogs Game Changer: Lachie Hunter
Magpies Game Changer: Callum Brown
My Prediction: Bulldogs
