A-League Round 23 My Review
There may have been a total of 15 goals scored in the 5 games that were played, but it was a fairly monotonous Round of football. The final game of the Round between the Mariners and the Reds was the closest as far as the scoreboard was concerned with just a solitary goal scored, but it was also probably the least entertaining game of the Round.

Roar v Sky Blues
Aaron Calver showed why Western United have chosen to sign him with a clinical header to opening the scoring for the Sky Blues. It’s bewildering that Calver has rarely been picked in the starting line up for the Sky Blues this A-League season. The Roar did manage to equalize thanks to Eric Bautheac, the import has been a shining light for the Roar this season. Unfortunately for the Roar they conceded 2 goals fairly late in the contest.
Roar Game Changer: Eric Bautheac
Sky Blues Game Changer: Aaron Calver

Phoenix v Jets
The story from the game was that David Williams scored a hat trick, with the 1st of his 3 goals coming in the opening minute of the game! The Jets were soundly beaten on the scoreboard in what was a disappointing performance with the Jets finals hopes all but over, as they need a miracle to feature in this season’s final series.
Phoenix Game Changer: David Williams
Jets Game Changer: Roy O’Donovan
Wanderers v City
The Wanderers were on the winners list with a comfortable victory of a City team without star striker Jamie Maclaren. In a positive for the Wanderers Oriol Riera was back in form with a brace.
Wanderers Game Changer: Oriol Riera
City Game Changer: No one
Glory v Victory
The Glory would be disappointed in losing to the Victory 2-nil as the race for the Premiers Plate is still on, at least mathematically there is still a chance that Glory won’t finish on top of the ladder.
Glory Game Changer: Diego Castro
Victory Game Changer: Lawrence Thomas
Sunday March 31st
Mariners v Reds
This was the only game where there was fewer than 2 goals scored in it, with Isais scoring a good goal in the 1st half, the rest of the game was fairly uneventful.
Mariners Game Changer: Tom Hiariej
Reds Game Changer: Isais
