What a Weekend of Football Round 16 of the A-League Should be! There should be Lots of Talking Points!

A-League Round 16 My Preview

Round 16 promises to be an entertaining and intriguing 1; hopefully there is plenty of goals and action.

My Choice of a definite winner for this Round: Reds

Friday January 25th

Roar v Wanderers
Both teams involved in this game are in need of a win, in fact that’s an understatement. It’s virtually impossible for either team to make the top 6 and participate in the finals. This game is tough to pick a winner in.
Roar Game Changer: Luke Devere
Wanderers Game Changer: Brendan Hamill
My Prediction: Wanderers

Saturday January 26th

Phoenix v City
This should be an interesting contest; its 6th against 4th. I expect City to win this one, but it’s a difficult proposition to play away to the Phoenix as they are much improved this season.
Phoenix Game Changer: Alex Rufer
City Game Changer: Bart Schenkeveld
My Prediction: City

Victory v Sky Blues
This game could be a tight one, but I expect the Sky Blues to be too good for the Victory. Hopefully this game is a good advertisement for the A-League as it promises to be a cracking contest between 2 teams that could challenge for the Minor Premiership.
Victory Game Changer: Ola Toivonen
Sky Blues Game Changer: Brandon O’Neill
My Prediction: Sky Blues

Sunday January 27th

Reds v Mariners
The Reds will most probably win this game comfortably as the Mariners have struggled this season, having said that the last few games the Mariners have been more competitive.
Reds Game Changer: George Blackwood
Mariners Game Changer: Andrew Hoole
My Prediction: Reds

Glory v Jets
The Glory have battled to score of late as they haven’t found the back of the net in the last 2 games that they have played. The Jets need to win this game to keep their finals hopes alive.
Glory Game Changer: Shane Lowry
Jets Game Changer: Steven Ugarkovic
My Prediction: Jets
