Premier League Game Week 23 My Review (Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool)
What a week of football we had in the Premier League with 2 0f the 3 teams involved in action claiming all 3 points on offer. A total of 12 goals were scored in the 3 games that were played. Find out why the 3 games that were played were so intriguing!
Manchester United v Brighton and Hove Albion My Review
Manchester United controlled the game having more possession than Brighton and United also had more shots than their opposition with 20 to Brighton’s 7. Paul Pogba opened the scoring; calmly slotting home a penalty slightly after the midway point of the 1st half. Once again Marcus Rashford scored, which was not surprise, making the score 2-nil in favour in favour of United, late in the 1st half. In the 2nd half Brighton did peg back the deficit with a goal, but United held on to claim the 3 points with a 2-1 victory.
Arsenal v Chelsea My Review
Despite having much more possession than Arsenal, Chelsea only managed to have 1 solitary shot on target for the entirety of the game. Like Chelsea, Arsenal had 13 shots, but Arsenal impressed with 5 shots on target and more importantly they scored 2 goals, both in the 1st half. Alexandre Lacazette is a quality player and he proved why, opening the scoring for Arsenal early on. Laurent Koscielny led from the front as captain scoring a 2nd goal to give Arsenal a 2 goal lead. The game remained at 2-nil in favour of Arsenal for the remained of the contest.
Liverpool v Crystal Palace My Review
The fact that 7 goals were scored in this contest was the highlight of this game. thankfully for Liverpool they were on the right side of the ledger. Incredibly only 1 of the 7 goals was scored in the 1st half of the contest and it was scored by Crystal Palace. Mohamed Salah was the only player from either side to score a brace. There were 2 goals that were scored in stoppage time of the 2nd half, one for either team. The 2nd half will go down as 1 of the most entertaining played, at the very least from a goal perspective with 6 of the 7 goals scored in the game coming in the 2nd half.
