Premier League Game Week 22 My Review (Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool)
All 3 teams obtain victory in what proved to be an interesting and entertaining Week of football, fond out why!
Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United My Review
Both goal keepers were kept busy with Tottenham having 11 shots on target to Manchester United’s 8. Tottenham controlled the tempo of the game, as they dominated possession, with over 60% of it. David De Gea was probably the best played on the field, while Marcus Rashford continued his good form as he once again was selected in the Manchester United starting line up and repaid that faith in him with the winning goal that proved to be the solitary goal for either side.
Chelsea v Newcastle United My Review
Chelsea had nearly double the possession and 3 times as many shots on target than Newcastle, yet they didn’t win the game comprehensively, as they should have. Pedro scored a goal fairly early on thanks to a good assist from David Luiz. Newcastle equalised late in the half thanks to a goal from Ciaran Clark, that was assisted by Matt Ritchie. Then in the early part of the second half Chelsea took the lead once again thanks to Willian who has set up by Eden Hazard. Despite taking the lead Chelsea failed to put the game beyond doubt on the scoreboard, narrowly claiming victory 2-1.
Brighton and Hove Albion v Liverpool My Review
Liverpool had the majority of possession against a Brighton side that were without first choice goalkeeper; Australian Matt Ryan. Liverpool had more than double the passes than that of their opposition. The game was decided early in the second half and it was no surprise about who stepped up to take the penalty kick, Mohamed Salah and he took it calmly and put the ball in the back of the net. The game was fairly monotonous with all 3 shots on target for Liverpool; Brighton may have only lost the game 1-nil, but they were never really in the game in terms of the key stats such as possession and shots on target.
