What a Round of Football We Have Ahead of Us! There are going to be some fascinating Games of Football Played in the A-League!

A-League Round 13 My Preview

The A-League has been enthralling of late; there has been plenty of goals and action. I am expecting the entertainment to continue in Round 13 where I am tipping some upsets. Check out my preview!

My Choice of a definite winner for this Round: Jets

Friday January 11th

City v Roar

It’s going to be an intriguing if the Roar can replicate the form that they showed against the Glory last Sunday in the first half, but if they revert to playing the way they did in the second half then it will be a one sided contest. I am expecting the Roar to bounce back as City were outplayed against the Jets, despite winning the game; the Jets controlled the tempo of the game, even though they were down to 10 men.
City Game Changer: Kearyn Baccus
Roar Game Changer: Jamie Young
My Prediction: Roar

Saturday January 12th

Phoenix v Mariners

The Phoenix have a short break after playing the Wanderers this Tuesday, so its going to be tough for them physically to win against the Mariners. They are missing Alex Rufer through suspension, which is a big loss as Rufer has been outstanding this season. The Mariners played well in the first half last week against the Sky Blues, but they would be disappointed with their second half. I’m tipping the Mariners in an upset in this one.
Phoenix Game Changer: Max Burgess
Mariners Game Changer: Andrew Hoole
My Prediction: Mariners

Victory v Jets
The Victory could be tired physically as they played against the Reds on Wednesday. The Jets should win this game as they played last Sunday so they have had more time to recover from their last game than Victory, coupled with the fact that they played well with 10 men last Sunday and goal keeper Glen Moss is back in the team.
Victory Game Changer: Ola Toivonen
Jets Game Changer: Roy O’Donovan
My Prediction: Jets

Sunday January 13th

Sky Blues v Reds
The Sky Blues would be disappointed with their last 2 first halves where they have gone into the half time break behind on the scoreboard. If the Reds play the way they did in the first half on Wednesday and the Sky Blues play like they did in the previous 2 first halves the game should be over at half time.
Sky Blues Game Changer: Andrew Redmayne
Reds Game Changer: George Blackwood
My Prediction: Reds

Glory v Wanderers
Both teams are coming off a short break. This is a tough game to a tip a winner in as the Wanderers have played well of recent times despite not winning as the goal keeper from the opposition team was one of the best players on the field in their last 3 games. If the Glory play the way they did in the first half against the Sky Blues on Wednesday then this should be a one sided contest, but if they replicate the form that they displayed in the second half of that game then this will be a tough game for the Glory.
Glory Game Changer: Brendon Santalab
Wanderers Game Changer: Kwame Yeboah
My Prediction: Wanderers
