Premier League Game Week 5 Review (Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool)
Once again, all three clubs took the three points from their respective games! Incredibly Chelsea and Liverpool have won all five games! The pressure was eased on Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho for now, with United beating a quality Watford outfit, who were unbeaten in their first four games. For Chelsea Eden Hazard scored a hat trick; he’s capable of being renowned as one of the best players in the world if he can keep his recent form up. The three teams scored a total of eight goals between them in the fifth week of the Premier League.
Watford v Manchester United Review
David De Gea made a fantastic save from Troy Deeney in the first half. Alexis Sanchez had a good shot well saved by Watford goal keeper Ben Foster. Ashley Young assisted Romelu Lukaku to give United the first goal of the game. Chris Smalling made the score two-nil shortly after. Andre Gray got a goal back for Watford near the midway point of the second half to make the game more interesting. De Gea made a great save to keep the score at two-one at the final whistle, giving United a much needed three points.
Chelsea v Cardiff City Review
Sol Bamba gave Cardiff a shock early lead. Olivier Giroud provided the assist for Eden Hazard who made it one-all. Hazard gave Chelsea a two-one advantage shortly before the half time break to put the home fans into raptures after the early scare. Bobby Reid was close to equalizing for Cardiff half way through the second half. Hazard made the score three-one with a penalty fairly late on in the match, thanks to a penalty won by Willian. Willian gave Chelsea a comfortable four-one victory late in the contest.
Tottenham v Liverpool Review
Liverpool controlled the first part of the game. Mohamed Salah failed to capitalize on a good chance that would have given Liverpool the lead. Georginio Wijnaldum gave the hosts a well deserved one-nil lead shortly before the half time interval. Lucas Moura hit the post early in the second half to nearly equalize for Tottenham. Shortly after Roberto Firminino scored a fairly simple goal that was well set up by Sadio Mane. Naby Keita nearly made the score three-nil. Erik Lamela scored a consolation goal for Tottenham.
