Swans v Bombers My Preview
Fantasia and Hurley will be crucial inclusions for the Bombers. The Bombers have plenty of depth in the running department; Mcgrath and Baguley off the back line, while, Fantasia, Colyer and Merrett will create problems for their Swans small defenders. The Swans welcome back Dan Hannebery.
The game will be won and lost off Lance Frankiln’s boot. He showed what he is capable of with his ten goal haul against the Blues. Then there is the likes of Newman and Myers who will look to play their role for their respective teams. They are the two that spring to mind when comparing the depth off half back and the wing for the Swans and the Bombers.
Whoever hits the scoreboard more between the two midfields could tell the tale of who is left standing and the team who will ultimately face elimination. Both sides have midfielders capable of hitting the scoreboard. The likes of Parker, Kennedy, Heeney and Hannebery will look to create scoreboard pressure for the Swans, while Heppell, Goddard and co will look to kick goals for the visitors.
Both teams have a large amount of midfield depth. Merrett is indicative of this for the Bombers as he should play a role off half forward, but is more than accomplished at playing a role through the midfield. Then there is Zak Jones for the Swans, who along with Callum Mills normally play off half back, but have the ability to play off a wing. The tempo will be high and the pressure immense; simple things like kicking straight will tell the story.
Swans Game Changer: Luke Parker
Bombers Game Changer: Zach Merrett
My Prediction: Bombers
