Power v Eagles My Preview
The game between the two interstate clubs in Port Adelaide and the West Coast Eagles should be a classic if the last round of the year indicates anything. The Power smashed the Suns by nearly twenty goals, whilst the Eagles booked their place in September with a upset victory against the Crows.
The Eagles will benefit from the loss of the Port Adelaide player Jack Hombsch, he was the obvious match for the dangerous Josh Kennedy. At the other end of the ground Mackenzie will be given the job of defending Charlie Dixon, which could be integral with regards to which team is victorious. Westhoff and Sam Gray will be needed to take the pressure off Robbie Gray, with the need for them to create scoreboard pressure. Redden and Jetta need to play their role for the Eagles to win, because both of them have been recruits touted a lot of, but have just cemented their spot in the starting twenty-two.
The final result will be won and lost in the midfield and who has the depth to survive the sudden death encounter. Sheed and Hutchings will be essential for the Eagles with the run they provide. Although the likes of Priddis and Mitchell will be important for the Eagles in the stoppages and to win the contested ball, but they will need those outside runners to go further into September.
