Formation (4-4-2 A-League Season 2019/20 Players)

The formation would consist of two attacking wingbacks, two centre backs, a narrow central midfield consisting of four players and two strikers. There would be one striker that stays up forward and another that tracks back when the opposition has possession.

Goalkeeper

Tom Glover is a world class goalkeeper who plays for Melbourne City, that has the experience of playing in a back four. This is due to the fact that Glover has the ability to make outstanding saves that can keep his team in the game on the scoreboard. It would allow Ryan Strain and Liberato Cacace to make marauding runs forward down their respective flanks.

Defenders

Ryan Strain would be suited to playing at right back Strain displayed in the A-League Season 2019/20 for Adelaide United.
Harrison Delbridge is a player that’s versatile, which Delbridge displayed in the A-League grand final. In this team he would start at centre back, but could switch to right back.
Aaron Calver of Western United is a quality centre back that has the capability to play overseas.
Liberato Cacace played for Welllington Phoenix at left back in A-League Season 2019/20; Cacace has signed a contract with a Belgium team, which indicates his got a lot of ability.

Midfielders

Josh Risdon proved in A-League Season 2019/20 that he has the ability to have an impact on the right wing, which Risdon showed for Western United.
Steven Ugarkovic of the Newcastle Jets has the capability of making his team control the tempo of the game, as a defensive central midfielder. Of recent times, Ugarkovic has shown he is capable of scoring goals too.
Milan Duric from the Central Coast Mariners would play as an attacking central midfielder.
Ryan Kitto played for Adelaide United at left back, but Kitto would be more suited to the left wing.

Strikers

Max Burgess from Western United is capable of playing as a striker that works hard in the midfield. Since Burgess has the ability to string passes together, he would complement Adam Le Fondre well, as Le Fondre’s main role is to score goals.
Adam Le Fondre would play as a striker, with Le Fondre being a regular goal scorer for Sydney FC in A-League Season 2019/20.

Substitutes

Daniel Lopar is Western Sydney Wanderers most important player; Lopar is a goalkeeper that gives the team confidence.
Ziggy Gordon of the Central Coast Mariners would provide another option in defence.
Nathaniel Atkinson from Melbourne City could be a good impact player.
Connor Pain of Western United would be suited to influencing the game as a substitute.
Bernie Ibini-Isei has recently signed a one year contract with the Newcastle Jets, because Ibini can score goals.
Jamie Maclaren of Melbourne City would be a good option to have as a substitute, because his main strength is scoring goals.
