Jeremy Howe was extraordinarily good for Collingwood in a drawn game. They have Howe to thank for them not losing the game. Robbie Tarrant was outstanding for North Melbourne. Jake Lloyd was Sydney Swans best player. Bachar Houli helped Richmond come back from a 4-goal deficit. Jacob Weitering was prolific when the game was there to be won. Sam Docherty led from the front as per usual.
Midfielders
Zach Merrett helped Essendon win the game. Merrett played an unbelievable game. He was prevalent when needed. Scott Pendlebury showed why he is possibly the best Captain in the competition. James Aish proved that Fremantle made a good decision to recruit him.
Forwards
Shaun Higgins is an elite player of the competition. Shaun Higgins played a quality game to help North Melbourne stay undefeated. Matt Taberner was a pivotal part of the Fremantle structure. Taberner kicked 2 goals. Gary Ablett Jr was back to his best. He put on a clinic. Michael Walters kicked a couple of important goals and accumulated plenty of the ball. Tom J. Lynch didn’t only kick 3 goals. Lynch played as a 2nd ruckman. Charlie Cameron had a big impact on the game, kicking 4 goals.
Followers
Todd Goldstein played a key role in North Melbourne’s upset win over Greater Western Sydney Giants. Lachie Weller and Matthew Rowell were exceptional for the Gold Coast. They both kicked 2 goals.
Interchange
Christian Petracca played exceptionally well in the midfield and up forward. Zak Jones played to his optimum level for St Kilda. Zak Jones has so much talent. Lachie Neale put in a fantastic 4 quarter effort. Jack Billlings was in a class of his own for St KIlda against the Western Bulldogs.
