Round 24 of the A-League Promises to be an Interesting one!

A-League Round 24 My Preview

This should be a more entertaining Round of football, as Round 23 had the majority of games that were one sided, with most games won by 2 goals or more. The Premiers Plate is still alive for now; from a mathematical point of view it isn’t definitely going to be the Glory. For those teams that can’t make the finals, players are fighting for contracts for next season, so every team has something to play for, with just 3 games remaining in the regular season, following Round 24’s completion.

My Choice of a definite winner for this Round: Glory

Friday April 5th

City v Roar
Both teams need to improve on their respective performances that they had in Round 23 as both teams would be disappointed and looking to boost their morale. As far as City are concerned they will be looking to assure a spot in the top 6, while the Roar players will be keen to ensure that they get given a contract for next season.
City Game Changer: Jamie Maclaren
Roar Blues Game Changer: Eric Bautheac
My Prediction: Roar

Saturday April 6th

Jets v Wanderers
Both teams form as been erratic this season and they need a miracle to feature in this season’s final series and at the very least they will be hoping to boost their morale over a fairy disappointing season thus far.
Jets Game Changer: Roy O’Donovan
Wanderers Game Changer: Kwame Yeboah
My Prediction: Jets

Sky Blues v Victory
This promises to be the game of the Round on paper featuring 2 teams fighting it out for 2nd place on the ladder.
Sky Blues Game Changer: Andrew Redmayne
Victory Game Changer: Ola Toivonen
My Prediction: Sky Blues

Sunday April 7th

Reds v Phoenix
The Reds will want to win this game to keep their hopes of finishing in the top 4 alive and hosting a final, while the Phoenix will be looking to continue their momentum.
Reds Game Changer: George Blackwood
Phoenix Game Changer: Alex Rufer
My Prediction: Reds

Mariners v Glory
The Mariners are playing for their careers as they are playing for new contracts, while their interim manager Alen Stajcic is also coaching for his career. The Glory will be looking to ensure that they claim the Premiers Plate.
Mariners Game Changer: Andrew Hoole
Glory Game Changer: Juande
My Prediction: Glory
