Top Run Scorer: Matt Short- 541
Leading Wicket Taker: Jamie Overton- 16
Analysis: The Strikers didn’t have a strong squad, but they still managed to make the finals and win a final in Perth against the Scorchers. It was a pity Chris Lynn had to leave the BBL to play T20 in the UAE as he was in good form. Despite that, Jake Weatharald stepped up in his absence.

They may have lost their first final against the Sixers, but they were resilient and went onto get revenge on the Sixers in the final!

Hobart Hurricanes: Failed to make finals

Melbourne Stars: Only have themselves to blame

Top Run Scorer: Beau Webster- 262
Leading Wicket Taker: Glenn Maxwell- 7
Analysis: The Stars lost their first three games, then they won four games in a row, but lost their last three matches. They would be disappointed in their overall performance, as it was unfortunate that they faded away.

Perth Scorchers: Faded away due to poor displays!

Leading Wicket Taker: Jason Behrendorff- 16
Analysis: The Scorchers missed their captain Ashton Turner got injured early in the tournament, which proved to be a massive loss. They lost to the Sixers, even though they made 197 runs! In the finals they couldn’t chase down 156 runs, against the Strikers, as the Scorchers collapsed and were all out for 105.

Sydney Sixers: A missed opportunity

Top Run Scorers: Moises Henriques, Josh Phillipe- 257
Leading Wicket: Taker: Ben Dwarshuis- 17
Analysis: The Sixers should view their BBL 13 as a failure; they had an opportunity to win the tournament, but they simply weren’t good enough when it mattered. There’s no disputing that they would’ve been aiming to win the tournament, as their squad had a good blend between youth and experience.

Sydney Thunder: They were disappointing

Top Run Scorer: Alex Hales- 258
Leading Wicket Taker: Daniel Sams 12
Analysis: The Thunder had one win and finished on the bottom of the table, but Daniel Sams and Alex Hales tried their best to win games, but to no avail, as they finished the tournament with one win.
