It wasn’t a good evening for batsmen with Nick Larkin top scoring for the Melbourne Stars, with 25 runs. Sydney Thunder leading run scorer Alex Ross, made 28 runs.

Facts and Figures: Matthew Short of the Adelaide Strikers was the top run scorer for the game with 84 runs. Sean Abbott and Izharulhaq Naveed, combined for five of the six wickets that the Sydney Sixers took. Jordan Silk top scored for the Sydney Sixers with 36 runs. Rasheed Khan and Henry Thornton combined for all seven wickets that the Adelaide Strikers took.
Pivotal Moment: Moises Henriques of the Sydney Sixers was the fourth wicket the Sydney Sixers lost, which made the score 4 for 72 off 12.1 overs. The wicket was taken by Rashid Khan, with the catch taken by Matthew Short, of the Adelaide Strikers.

Pivotal Moment: Matthew Wade of the Hobart Hurricanes was the fourth wicket the Hobart Hurricanes lost, which made the score 4 for 92 from 13.1 overs. The wicket was taken by Nathan Coulter-Nile, with the catch taken by Hilton Cartwright of the Melbourne Stars.

Facts and Figures: Chris Lynn of Adelaide Strikers scored 36 runs, which was the highest score for either team. Four of the Sydney Thunder bowlers took at least two wickets. Henry Thornton took 5 for 3 off 2.5 overs. His journey to play for the Adelaide Strikers is inspirational as he has been in the wilderness for a while. Wes Agar was also prolific as he took 4 for 6 from 2 overs. The Adelaide Strikers wicketkeeper, Harry Nielsen took five catches.
Pivotal Moment: Matthew Short of the Adelaide Strikers took an amazing catch off the bowling of Henry Thornton: it meant that Rilee Rossouw of Sydney Thunder was dismissed for three runs and made their score 2 for 5 after 1.2 overs.

Hayden Kerr of the Sydney Sixers made 42 runs, just one more run than Jordan Silk. All five Perth Scorchers bowlers claimed at least one wicket, with Jhye Richardson the most impressive with 4 for 9 from 4 overs.
Pivotal Moment: Nick Hobson of the Perth Scorchers took a catch off the bowling of Jhye Richardson that ended a sixth wicket partnership for the Sydney Sixers between Jordan Silk and Hayden Kerr of 75 runs. With Kerr dismissed it made the score 6 for 106 off 16.1 overs.
