My Favourite 50 AFL Players- Season 2021 (30-21)

30- David Mundy (Fremantle Dockers)

Mundy was a player that played to his optimum level; it was remarkable that he polled 20 Brownlow votes in season 2021, which was twice more than any other Dockers player.

29- Caleb Daniel (Western Bulldogs)

Daniel was instrumental in the Bulldogs being the team to beat for the majority of season 2021. His distribution of the ball was what was impressive.

28- Jy Simpkin (North Melbourne)

Simpkin played well for North Melbourne throughout season 2021.

27- Tim Taranto (GWS Giants)

Taranto had a fantastic season for the Giants in 2021. He showed that he wasn’t one dimensional as he hit the scoreboard at times. He polled 15 Brownlow votes, which was impressive as it was the equal most votes of any Giants player.

26- Jacob Hopper (GWS Giants)

Hopper had an outstanding season as he was a part of the AFL All Australian squad of 40. He also polled the equal most votes of any Giants player in season 2021, along with Taranto.

25- Tom Doedee (Adelaide Crows)

Doedee was important part of the system that the Crows played. He was arguably their most important player that could curtail the opposing teams main key forward.

24- Luke Ryan (Fremantle Dockers)

Ryan played a key part in creating possible chances to score goals and at the same time was needed to negate the opposing teams forays forward.

23- Jack Sinclair (St Kilda)

Sinclair finished 2nd in St Kilda’s best and fairest in season 2021. He was one of the most improved players in the AFL as he embraced his role of playing on the half back flank.

22- Sean Darcy (Fremantle Dockers)

Darcy had a fantastic season in 2021; he was rewarded for his consistency by being selected in the 2021 AFL All Australian squad of 40.

21- Brayden Maynard (Collingwood)

Maynard played as a key defender as Darcy Moore was injured and was pivotal.
