40- Jack Henry (Geelong Cats)
Henry played in every game for the Cats in season 2021, with the exception of Round 1. He is a player that deserved more credit as he played his role extremely well for the Cats.
39- Matt Taberner (Fremantle Dockers)
Taberner was a pivotal part of the Dockers structure, unfortunately he was injury prone. He kicked 15 more goals than other Dockers player in season 2021.
38- Dan Houston (Port Adelaide)
Houston averaged 20.91 disposals per game in season 2021. He spent time in the back six as well as on the wing. He is a player that’s underrated.
37- Zach Merrett (Essendon)
Merrett featured in all 23 games that Essendon played. He averaged the 7th most disposals of any player in the competition with an average of 31.52 disposals per game. He was named on the wing in the AFL All Australian team in season 2021.
36- Steven May (Melbourne Demons)
May was the full back chosen in the AFL All Australian team in season 2021. He had a consistent season.
35- Nick Hind (Essendon)
Hind was arguably the best recruit of season 2021. He was unlucky to miss out on the AFL All Australian squad of 40.
34- Jake Lever (Melbourne Demons)
Lever had the highest average intercepts of any player in AFL season 2021 with an average of 10.28 intercepts on average per game.
33- Lachie Whitfield (GWS Giants)
Whitfield can do things which other players can’t; he is highly skilled. Impressively, he averaged 25 disposals per game in the 17 games that he featured in during season 2021.
32- Hugh McCluggage (Brisbane Lions)
McCluggage plays predominantly on the wing and averaged 25 disposals per game in season 2021. He had an impressive average inside 50s of 4.50 inside 50s per game.
31- Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs)
Bontempelli was arguably the best player in the competition in season 2021. Along with that, he displayed remarkable leadership.
