My Favourite T20 11 (West Indies- Team Eight of Eight)

In a Nutshell

I have compiled a team of my favourite players from eight different countries in alphabetical order. To be eligible for selection a player must have played at least one T20 game for their country. To be a Captain of the team a player must have Captained a T20 team at the very least for a domestic T20 team. Find out who made my All Time T20 favourite players for West Indies!

Opening Batsman

Lendl Simmons is most suited to opening the batting when playing for West Indies in the T20 format. He averages 35.61 runs per innings. He has even taken six wickets in 54 matches.

All-rounder/Opening Batsman

Chris Gayle is a player that is well known, when you think about T20 cricket Chris Gayle is a player that is well known in cricketing circles. He is a batsman that’s capable of hitting fours and sixers constantly. He has experience playing in different countries domestic competitions, eg for the Sydney Thunder in the Twenty20 Big Bash in Australia. He opens the batting and does an extremely good job at it. He is a left hand batter, but bowls right arm off spin and has taken 17 wickets and international level for the West Indies.

All Rounder/Middle Order Batsman

Marlon Samuels is a right hand batsman most suited to batting number three in the T20 format. He has taken 22 wickets bowling right arm off break.

Middle Order Batsman

Nicholas Pooran is most suited to batting at number four in international T20 cricket. He has a strike rate of 200.00 when batting in that position.

All Rounders

Kieron Pollard is most suited to batting number five at T20 international cricket. In 11 games as Captain he has five wins and five losses. He has taken 35 wickets in 73 matches bowling right arm medium.
Dwayne Bravo had a strike rate off 144.25 when batting at number six in international T20 cricket. He took an impressive 59 wickets in 71 matches bowling right arm medium.

Wicketkeeper

Denesh Ramdin has taken 43 catches and had 20 stumpings as wicketkeeper for West Indies in 71 matches. His best position to bat at is number seven in the T20 format. He has a strike rate of 152.22 when batting in that spot in the order.

Bowlers

Darren Sammy took 44 wickets in 68 matches bowling right arm medium fast.
Sunil Narine has taken 52 wickets in 51 matches bowling right arm off breaks.
Samuel Badree has taken 56 wickets in 52 matches and has an economy rate of just 6.18 runs per over in the T20 format. He bowls right arm leg breaks.
Sheldon Cottrell has taken 36 wickets in 27 matches bowling right arm fast medium for West Indies in T20 cricket.
