Test Cricket Jigsaw Puzzle (In a Nutshell)

I have compiled a team of players with one player from 11 of the test international teams throughout its history. To be eligible for selection a player must have played some form of international cricket for their country. Find out who made the jigsaw puzzle piece together!

Opening Batsman/All rounder

Sanath Jayasuria of Sri Lanka would be remembered as one of the best opening batsman of all time for his country. What’s impressive is that he has managed to score at least 50 runs in approximately 23.94% of his the innings that he has featured in. He has also taken 98 wickets in 110 test matches, which probably categorizes him as a batting all rounder.

Opening Batsman

Graham Smith has won the most games as test Captain of every Captain that’s ever played. He won 53 test matches out of 109 that he led South Africa in.

Batsmen

Sir Don Bradman was in a class of his own. He was a quality batsman and a good, humble person. He averaged 103.63 runs per innings batting at number 3. When you think of cricket is Australia Don Bradman comes to mind; he was and always will be synonymous with cricket, both in Australia and worldwide!
Sachin Tendulkar main batting position is number 4. He is someone to look up to as a great part of Indian cricket and the sport worldwide. When you think of Indian cricket Sachin Tendulkar’s name springs to mind!

Wicketkeeper

Andy Flower is another icon of cricket as a sport. When you think of Zimbabwe Andy Flower is the name that appears. He averaged 54.9 runs per innings batting number 5, even though he also had the responsibility of being wicketkeeper.

All Rounders

Imran Khan is an icon of cricket in Pakistan. He averaged 61.87 runs per innings batting at number 6 in the batting order. He was also prolific as a bowler as he took 362 wickets in 88 tests. He will be remembered as being one of the best allrounders in world cricket.
Sir Ian Botham was an allrounder that people will associate with cricket in England and worldwide. He averaged 40.27 runs per innings when batting at number 7. He averaged 39.77
Daniel Vettori averaged 39.77 runs per innings when batting at number 8 for New Zealand.

Bowlers

Courtney Walsh will always be highly thought of in cricketing circles. He was an extremely talented bowler for West Indies. He took 519 wickets in a total of 132 tests. A top fast bowler who will always be remembered.
Rashid Khan is a player from Afghanistan. He is a leg spinner that has taken 23 wickets in four test matches!
Tim Murtagh is a bowler for Ireland who took 13 wickets in three test matches. He is a fast-medium bowler.
